Gearbox Defines Improvements in Borderlands 3 Multiplayer

The Co-Op Shooter Is Getting More Co-Operative

As much as everyone loved Borderlands 2, and fans would no doubt want just another game, Gearbox just cannot help but improve their game. In the past, Borderlands players have never been forced to play online, but there have been aspects that discourage some players from doing so. Of course, Gearbox always gives the people what they want and what they don’t even know they want. That is why they are adding a ping function to Borderlands 3 multiplayer. This will protect people like your ol’ pal Zane from having to talk to strangers online, while still having fun.

Borderlands 3 Multiplayer

Sometimes, I only join someone’s game or open my game to strangers to do multiplayer challenges or achievements. Getting strangers on board with specifics is nigh impossible without breaking out the mic, which is the last thing I want to do. With the new pinging, players like myself can work with others without the scariness of actually talking. It also highlights certain things in the environment to help all players make better combat decisions. You can mark enemies, chests, items, objectives, anything you need to to communicate with your fellow Vault Hunters.

Finding games to your exact specifications is easier too. You can filter games based on where you are in the story or by specific modes. Even if you are not sharing a game with someone, they can still influence your experience just a bit. When a friend sells an item in their game, you can buy it from the store in your game, or they can mail it directly to you. You can also check out their loadouts and builds just by looking them up on your friends list. It is kind of like a feature many MMOs have. Borderlands 3 comes out on September 13th on Xbox One, PS4, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
