Plains of Eidolon Remastered
The game that began its life as a procedural shooter is getting better at every turn. Warframe took a giant leap when its Plains of Eidolon DLC launched back in 2017. The update brought expansion and overhaul of the game’s graphics, mechanics, and content. Today, that same expansion has received its own update.
Presenting Warframe: Plains of Eidolon remastered. It’s everything you loved about the original update, only prettier. Thanks to a host of technical improvements, the open world looks better than ever. New lighting, new textures, and a revamped day/night cycle place the immersion factor well over 9,000. As if that wasn’t enough, the dev team went ahead and added: “a thunderous new threat” that roams the plains. Check out the entire suite of changes in the latest trailer, available below.
When Warframe: Plains of Eidolon launched back in 2017, it was hailed as a critical revival for the online world. Quite literally, it changed the landscape of the game and introduced a host of new features and a new class that rocked the foundations of gameplay. Since then, the IP has maintained its spot as one of the top live service games in the industry. Then again, it’s one of the few whose microtransactions actually show what you’re buying.
The remastered DLC is only available on PC but will arrive on consoles in due time. There will be many updates down the line, so stay tuned.
