Overload, the “Ultimate Zero-G Shooter,” Finally Descends onto Xbox One Today

Overload Launches With Cross-Platform Support Too

Overload, the spiritual successor to the classic tunnel shooter Descent, is out now on Xbox One consoles, developer Revival Productions has announced. The game also supports cross-platform play with PC.

Overload was created by Matt Toschlog and Mike Kulas, the same duo who co-founded Parallax Software and created the original Descent. Years later, they’ve founded Revival Productions and made Overload, the “ultimate zero-g shooter.” The game — which was already released on PS4 and PC — offers a “deep single-player campaign, a highly-replayable Challenge Mode with online leaderboards, and individual and team-based online multiplayer modes.”

You can find more info below:

“Overload offers labyrinthine environments with close quarter combat zones. Expanded gameplay features and powerful weapons armed with unique characteristics tighten the game’s high-octane action. Players’ senses must be accurately attuned to their surroundings because action comes from all sides, above, and below, which adds to the game’s complexity and depth to control and movement, ultimately transforming the FPS genre into something completely new and challenging.”
