Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Video Review
With the October 12 release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, we finally got a chance to see how the new title in the classic franchise would be received. Would the lack of single-player campaign mode and the focus on Battle Royale tank the whole game, or would it be able to prove the naysayers wrong and rise above the doubts? There’s plenty at stake for Black Ops 4 right now, but how are those nervous developers feeling right about now?. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 didn’t just talk a big game, it walked it. With the best Battle Royale mode in gaming thus far (yes, Fortnite, we’re looking at you), COD might not be breaking any new ground, but it doesn’t always have to when it delivers such a satisfying, fun approach to its new genre. Sure, Black Ops 4 is continuing with the same style and gameplay mechanics as before, but what does it matter if you’re having a good time? And with the 10th Anniversary of the Zombies Mode it delivers three full zombie experiences from the get-go, with plenty of highlights, especially the Roman colosseum map. Overall, the game is easily the best multiplayer game of the franchise to date. High praise, we know, but hey, you have to give credit where credit’s due, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 earned it.
