New USB Wireless Adapter Makes it Possible
As much as we love the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, we understand that there are people out there that have different tastes, particularly the Xbox One and DualShock 4 controllers. Thankfully, there is now an alternate solution from 8bitdo that allows you to use these controllers (and more) with your Nintendo Switch.
8bitdo has created a USB wireless adapter that allows players to use an assortment of different controllers for use on their Switch consoles thanks to Bluetooth technology. The list of compatible controllers for use on the Switch includes the aforementioned Xbox One and DualShock 4 controllers, as well as PS3 controllers, Wiimotes, and even the Wii U Pro Controller.
The lovely folks at NintendoLife have also created a video showing how simple it is to set things up — literally plug and play — and then testing it out with an Xbox One S Wireless Controller. The results look flawless, with zero latency. Check it out below to see it in action.
Here is the official product description from Amazon:

The 8bitdo Wireless Bluetooth Adapter costs $19.99 and has some solid reviews on Amazon. We’d say this is a more than adequate solution to using unofficial controllers with the Switch, from a company that only releases high-quality stuff. If you’re in the market for a different Pro Controller for your Switch, then make sure to pick up one of these bad boys.
