The Very First Nintendo Switch Update Has Arrived and Version 2.1.0 Is Now Available for Download
Nintendo has released the very first Nintendo Switch update and Version 2.1.0 can now be downloaded directly to your console. It’s exciting news to know that Nintendo has been working away at fine-tuning the new gaming system’s functionality and improving the overall experience a player gets while using their product.
While this is not the update that Nintendo was talking about that adds new Nintendo IPs and those “out-of-the-box” ideas that were talked about earlier this week in an interview with a Japanese magazine, some “general system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience” have been addressed. No new functionality has been added to the system at this time.

You can continue playing your Nintendo Switch as normal while the update installs and you should be able to access both your games and the eShop as normal.
