Red Dead Sees a Sales Spike
There is no question the news of Red Dead Redemption becoming backwards compatible put a lot of smiles on a lot of faces. Starting this Friday, every Red Dead Redemption Xbox 360 owner will be able to play the game directly on their Xbox One, regardless of which version of the game they own (the original game, Undead Nightmare and Game of the Year Edition).
Since that announcement, sales of Red Dead Redemption on Xbox 360 have risen a massive 5,394 per cent on Amazon.co.uk. The regular edition of the game rose from sales rank 989 to 18, whilst a 1,845 per cent increase in sales of the Game of the Year Edition saw it climb from position 681 to No.35.
The game will be available to purchase on Friday via the Games Store on Xbox One.
Fans everywhere are surely rejoicing the news of the game becoming backwards compatible as it was one of the most requested games for backwards compatibility ever. We can only hope that an announcement of the much-anticipated sequel isn’t too far behind.
