Toronto’s EGLX, or Enthusiast Live Gaming Expo, will be hosting a Minecraft Youth and Teen Build-a-Thon. It’s a competition to build the most creative, most skillfully crafted, and most engaging world your brain can imagine and win major prizes. Minecraft will be part of the EGLX Kids Zone, a fun and safe area reserved for kids aged 12 and under and their accompanying parents or guardians. But it can also be found in the main competitions for teens.
In the competition, entrants will build their own representation of a special theme, or build something unique that will amaze the audience (and the judges). They’ll have to take their time, or create a whole world as fast as they can. There are lots of different ways to play, so the results will be sure to be exciting.
The best and brightest Minecrafters will win a chance to go on a huge shopping spree for their choice of gaming goodies. Consoles, games, accessories – you name it, the winner will get it, up to a certain (quite generous) cash value.
Organizers invite the public to bring their kids to EGLX, sit back, relax, and watch them create their own world.
Described as “a fusion of eSports tournaments and a gaming consumer show,” EGLX is a 3-day event held in Toronto, Canada from November 13-15, 2015. Stay tuned here for all the top news stories coming out of this event!
