Pathologic 3 Gets a Major Update With 100+ Fixes and New Features

A Better Experience Awaits in Pathologic 3

Pathologic 3 just got a major overhaul, and there’s plenty for players to dig into. Developer Ice-Pick Lodge and publisher HypeTrain Digital have released The Great October Update, bringing more than 100 fixes, performance improvements, and a host of new features to the unsettling survival game.

The update has been in development since early summer and delivers more than 100 fixes covering dialogue, quests, story events, and branching outcomes throughout the game’s intense 12-day campaign. Players can also explore the experience with two new difficulty settings, Easy and Hard, alongside the existing Normal mode.

One of the biggest additions is Photo Mode, which lets players capture and customize in-game shots using weather presets, stickers, and other creative tools. The update also introduces in-game subtitles for voice-over, making it easier for players to follow conversations and story developments.

Performance has received attention as well, with optimizations targeting lower-end CPUs and improved support for Steam Deck. Players will also find new ways to deal with Shabnak, one of the Town’s most terrifying creatures, offering additional options when facing these frightening encounters.

Beyond the headline additions, The Great October Update brings several quality-of-life improvements. These include refined interfaces, better controls and map navigation, audio adjustments, game balance changes, and improved ultrawide monitor support.

With so many changes packed into one update, Pathologic 3 should feel more approachable for newcomers while giving returning players plenty of reasons to revisit its unsettling world. The Great October Update is available now, making this a good time to step back into the Town and see what has changed.
