Gaelco Sports Collection Revives 90s Arcade Classics on PC and Consoles This Month

Dive Into the Classics in the Gaelco Sports Collection

QUByte Interactive and Bleem! have announced that Gaelco Sports Collection will launch on October 22, 2026, bringing five classic arcade games to modern platforms. The collection will be available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

The collection celebrates the legacy of Gaelco, the Barcelona-based developer founded in 1985 that made a name for itself in the arcade scene during the 1990s. Known for its fast-paced gameplay and impressive visuals, the studio delivered several memorable experiences that kept arcade players coming back for more.

Leading the lineup are World Rally Championship (1993) and its sequel, World Rally 2: Twin Racing (1995). The original challenges players to race a Toyota Celica GT-Four across different road conditions while battling a strict 60-second timer. Meanwhile, the sequel adds more circuits, multiple rally cars, and ghost-car racing for players looking to improve.

The collection also includes Snowboard Championship (1997), which features high-speed downhill races, challenging slalom gates, and spectacular loops. Fans of arcade sports can also revisit Touch and Go (1995), a fast-paced two-on-two beach volleyball game, and Squash (1992), which focuses on quick reflexes and competitive racquet action.

Bringing these games back has been challenging because of the encryption used in Gaelco’s original arcade hardware. QUByte Interactive’s proprietary Emulation Engine now makes it possible to preserve these titles for modern audiences.

With five distinct arcade experiences in one package, Gaelco Sports Collection looks like a promising opportunity for longtime arcade fans to revisit the classics and for newcomers to discover what made these games so memorable.
