Defeat the Sorceress in Blades & Battles
If you miss the days of classic arcade beat ’em ups like Golden Axe and Knights of the Round, Blades & Battles might be worth checking out. QUByte Interactive’s new side-scrolling brawler is now available on PC and consoles, bringing a mix of sword-swinging combat, fantasy battles, and old-school arcade action.
Blades & Battles is now out on Steam, the Epic Games Store, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. The Switch version launches in Japan and Asia on October 1. The game is available for $14.99, with a 15% launch discount available across all platforms for the first 15 days.

The story takes players to a time before the legendary Round Table, with Camelot under attack from mythical creatures, demons, and corrupted warriors controlled by Morgana le Fay. You can play through the campaign alone or team up with another player in local two-player co-op.
There are two playable characters to choose from. Arthur focuses on powerful attacks and crowd control, while Lancelot is built around speed, quick combos, dashes, and aerial attacks.
The campaign features eight stages, taking players through locations such as Camelot Castle, Sherwood Forest, and Camlann Mountain before the showdown with Morgana.
The game also lets players switch between three visual styles, including a modern 3D look and two different pixel-art options. Overall, Blades & Battles looks like a straightforward throwback to the arcade brawlers many players grew up with, while adding a few modern touches along the way.
