All Aboard the Fright Train
Survival horror fans have a new nightmare to jump into, as Fright Train is now available on Steam for $15.99. Published by Black Lantern Collective, Gamersky Games, and developed by WildArts Games, the game puts players in control of paranormal special agent Doug Barker as he battles terrifying creatures aboard a monster-infested train crossing the frozen wastelands of Antarctica.
Fright Train blends third-person combat with roguelite mechanics, resource management, and plenty of horror. Players will explore blood-soaked train cars, search for weapons and supplies, and fight their way through waves of paranormal threats. However, surviving the monsters is only part of the challenge.
The train itself needs constant attention. Players must repair critical systems and keep the vehicle moving while managing limited resources. Some repairs require Doug to step outside into Antarctica’s deadly wilderness, where even more dangers await.
Each run offers a different challenge, forcing players to adapt their weapons, equipment, and strategy as they push farther down the line. The game also features an experimental arsenal designed to give players plenty of unconventional ways to deal with its monstrous enemies.
With its mix of survival horror, roguelite gameplay, and a nightmarish Antarctic setting, Fright Train offers a rather unusual ride. If you’re looking for something creepy to play this week, this train might be worth boarding.
