Mounts, Hookshots, and New Adventures Arrive in Core Keeper
Core Keeper just gave players a whole new reason to head underground, and this time, you can ride your way through the adventure. Pugstorm and Fireshine Games have officially launched the free Riders of the Underground update, bringing rideable mounts, a new Hookshot, a fresh sub-biome, new pets, gear, and more to the underground survival adventure.
Available now on PC, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One, the update introduces mounts to Core Keeper for the first time. Players can tame their friendly cattle, hop on for a ride, give them names, and even decide how they behave. Your trusty companions can stay in one spot, wander around on their own, or follow you as you explore.
Getting around the underground should also feel much smoother thanks to the new Hookshot. This handy tool lets players grapple across pits and chasms, making it easier to reach areas that would otherwise require building bridges or paths. The update also expands the Forgotten Ruins with the new Moss sub-biome, adding a greener look to its ancient stone surroundings. On top of that, players can discover several new pets, weapons, accessories, armor pieces, and quality-of-life improvements.
With plenty of new toys to play with and new corners of the underground to explore, Riders of the Underground looks set to make Core Keeper’s already addictive exploration loop even more fun. Time to saddle up and start digging.
