A colorful new adventure has arrived on Steam. Independent developer RolldBox Games and publisher Jataí Games have officially launched Alex & Arty, a third-person adventure that swaps traditional combat for exploration, restoration, and plenty of colorful environments to discover.
Priced at $18.99 USD, Alex & Arty is available now with a 15% launch discount for its first two weeks. Regional pricing also applies.
In the game, players take on the role of Alex and team up with Arty, a mysterious shapeshifting companion who becomes an important part of the adventure. Together, they must travel across the planet of Gladness and restore areas damaged by environmental corruption.
Rather than fighting enemies, players use the Ionizer to cleanse corrupted areas. They will help creatures recover and bring lifeless environments back to their vibrant state. As Gladness begins to heal, Arty unlocks new forms that open up different ways to travel and explore the planet.
The game also extends its environmental message beyond the virtual world. Alex & Arty – Restoring Planet Earth is an optional $4.99 DLC created in collaboration with Dots.eco. Purchasing it gives players consumable in-game items and a personalized certificate connected to a real-world environmental contribution.
RolldBox Games and Jataí Games will direct 100% of their share of the DLC revenue to Dots.eco to support environmental initiatives.
