Pax Autocratica Launches in Steam Early Access With Large-Scale Galactic Battles

Rule the Galaxy in Pax Autocratica

Independent developer Multiverse has launched Pax Autocratica into Steam Early Access, giving players the chance to build and control a ruthless totalitarian colony while taking part in large-scale FPS roguelite battles across the Tyris System.

The game puts players in charge of a powerful regime tasked with bringing the galaxy under one banner. To maintain control, players can use propaganda, strict policies, surveillance, and fear to keep their citizens in line. However, every decision comes with consequences, as excessive oppression can fuel resentment and spark rebellion.

Players will also need to build a functioning colony by expanding housing, employment opportunities, medical services, and the local economy. Surveillance towers and propaganda campaigns can help maintain order and spread the State’s message, while disciplinary measures allow players to deal with citizens who openly challenge their authority.

Pax Autocratica takes the action beyond colony management with massive FPS roguelite battles. Players can personally lead their forces into combat, collect resources, and search for Core Fragments that unlock new abilities and combat strategies.

The game also allows defeated enemy soldiers to be captured and brought back to the colony, where players can imprison or convert them into loyal citizens.

Pax Autocratica is now available on PC through Steam Early Access for $29.99. A 17% launch discount will remain available for two weeks. The game supports English, German, French, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

With its mix of colony management, dark satire, and chaotic FPS combat, Pax Autocratica offers a rather unusual way to build an empire, one brutal decision at a time.
