OfMiceAndMechs Gets a New Publishing Partner After 9 Years of Development

Dwarf Fortress Meets RimWorld in OfMiceAndMechs

Ivy Juice has announced a new publishing partnership with solo developer MarxMustermann for OfMiceAndMechs, an ambitious roguelike that blends base building, factory automation, and survival elements. The announcement was made during the Gaming Up Showcase and came alongside a brand-new trailer, giving players a closer look at the game in action.

OfMiceAndMechs has been in development for more than nine years and is currently available to wishlist on Steam for Windows and Linux. With Ivy Juice now joining the project, the publisher will help bring the game to a wider audience as development continues toward its eventual launch.

Built entirely by MarxMustermann, OfMiceAndMechs takes inspiration from games such as Dwarf Fortress and RimWorld. All while aiming to offer a more approachable experience without losing the depth that fans of the genre enjoy.

Players will explore a dystopian open world where machines continue operating long after civilization has collapsed. Survival involves scavenging resources, constructing a base, automating production lines, and managing a workforce capable of continuing the operation even after the player character dies.

The adventure also features eight dungeons, defensive battles against endless enemy waves, and seven glass hearts to collect. At the center of it all is a mysterious brain implant guiding the player through this strange and hostile world.

After nine years of development, OfMiceAndMechs is shaping up to be an intriguing project for fans of deep simulation games. The new publishing partnership could give this unusual indie title the push it needs to reach a much larger audience.
