Doctor Doom Enters the Fight in MARVEL Cosmic Invasion
Dotemu and Tribute Games have unveiled the first look at The Siege of Castle Doom, an upcoming premium DLC for their arcade-style beat ’em up, MARVEL Cosmic Invasion. The expansion will put the infamous Doctor Doom at the center of a brand-new game mode and will also introduce two new playable characters.
The Siege of Castle Doom is scheduled to launch in Fall 2026 for PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
While the developers are keeping many details under wraps for now, the arrival of Doctor Doom should give players a fresh challenge to tackle. The new content will expand the game’s existing roster and build on its fast-paced tag-team combat.
MARVEL Cosmic Invasion follows the heroes of the Marvel universe as they attempt to stop the immortal supervillain Annihilus and his devastating Annihilation Wave. Players can choose from 17 playable heroes and switch between two characters during battles using the Cosmic Swap system. This allows players to combine different abilities and create unique team combinations.
The game also features several iconic Marvel villains, including Thanos, M.O.D.O.K., and Taskmaster, while its visual style draws heavily from classic Marvel comics and arcade-era games.
With Doctor Doom now entering the fight, The Siege of Castle Doom looks set to give fans another reason to jump back into the action. More details will arrive ahead of its release in Fall 2026.
