Help Shape Don’t Lose Aggro Right Now
Independent developer Oren Koren is getting ready to roll out the first major Early Access update for Don’t Lose Aggro, with a community playtest planned ahead of the wider release. The upcoming update focuses on improving several of the game’s core systems based on player feedback gathered since its Early Access launch in April.
Players will have the chance to try out the updated mechanics before they officially arrive. Those interested in joining the playtest can sign up through a dedicated Google Form and will be notified when access becomes available.

Don’t Lose Aggro is a single-player action roguelite that puts players in the role of a tank, taking inspiration from the responsibilities of tanking in MMO raids. Players must manage enemy attention, protect their companions, make strategic talent choices, and adapt their approach to different encounters.
The new playtest introduces several notable changes. The threat and aggro system has been overhauled to make managing enemy attention more responsive and give players more meaningful decisions during combat. Party sizes have also increased, meaning players will need to protect multiple companions at once.
The update will also introduce buffs and debuffs, a new Summoner companion capable of commanding an undead army, new weapons and shields, additional abilities and upgrades, and new dungeon modifiers designed to add more variety to runs.
Don’t Lose Aggro is currently available in Early Access on Steam. With this update, Koren is clearly looking to build on the game’s foundation while giving the community a bigger role in shaping its future.
