Hooded Horse and Digital Sun have officially released ‘The Old Kingdom’, the first DLC for the castle-building strategy game Cataclismo. The expansion is now available on PC through Steam, GOG, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store. The Old Kingdom introduces an entirely new strategic game mode that challenges players to reclaim a lost kingdom. Instead of defending a single stronghold, players will expand their territory across multiple citadels while building up their economy and military strength.
Managing troops and resources becomes a major part of the experience, as players must move units between different locations, reinforce vulnerable areas, and deliver essential supplies where they are needed most. Players can also unlock new technologies and strengthen their defenses to hold back the growing horrors emerging from the Mist.
The DLC is available for $9.99 / £8.99 / €9.99 / ¥980, with a 10% launch discount available for the first two weeks. Cataclismo itself is also currently 50% off during the same period, bringing the base game to $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99 / ¥2,980.
The expansion supports a wide range of languages, including German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Brazilian Portuguese, and several others.
With a new strategic mode and plenty of opportunities to expand and defend your kingdom, The Old Kingdom looks like a solid reason for Cataclismo players to return to the castle.
