Lead Your Tribe in Polylithic
After nearly three years in Early Access, Polylithic is finally preparing for its full 1.0 launch. Developer polyperfect and publisher indie.io have confirmed that the colorful Stone Age survival game will leave Early Access on August 25, 2026, bringing its biggest content update to date.

Set in a vibrant low-poly prehistoric world, Polylithic puts players in charge of building and leading a tribe from the Paleolithic era to the Neolithic age. Along the way, players gather resources, craft tools, expand their settlement, and survive against dangerous wildlife. The game also supports online co-op for up to 10 players, while its procedurally generated Sandbox Mode offers endless replayability for those who prefer a more open-ended experience.
Since launching in Early Access in November 2023, Polylithic has received more than 50 updates driven by community feedback. Over time, it evolved from a simple survival game into a deeper tribe-management experience, adding new biomes, expanded progression, co-op gameplay, and a larger technology tree. Earlier this year, the developers also shifted the game’s direction toward a more humorous style, complete with documentary-inspired cutscenes.
The 1.0 update introduces character customization, companion animals like dogs and hyenas, enemy tribes, a revamped hunger and body system, smarter AI, new weapons, items, mushrooms, and additional story content. Players can also try a new cooking minigame that creates unpredictable recipes, emote around campfires, and even shout at wildlife for some extra prehistoric fun.
The game will launch on Steam for $14.99, with a 35% launch discount. Version 1.0 also expands language support with Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese, and Japanese alongside its existing languages.
With its mix of survival, tribe management, and lighthearted humor, Polylithic looks ready to leave the Stone Age of Early Access behind this August.
