Challenge Your Friends in MASUKU
Lowtek Games has officially released MASUKU on Steam, bringing its unique abstract puzzle experience to PC players. To celebrate the launch, the game is available at a 10% discount for $4.49 until August 3. Players who want to try it before buying can also download a free demo.
MASUKU is a strategic puzzle game designed for one to four players. The objective is to place, rotate, and flip cards to cover the board while revealing colors and symbols that match changing scoring goals. Players must reach 50 points in as few moves as possible, rewarding careful planning with a touch of luck.
The full release includes several game modes. A Daily Challenge lets everyone compete on the same puzzle for a place on the leaderboard, encouraging players to refine their strategy through multiple attempts. Other modes include a randomly generated solo challenge, local multiplayer for two to four players, CPU battles, and special puzzle variants such as White Out, Pure Blue, and No Overlap, each offering a unique objective.
Lowtek Games has also included accessibility options, including light and dark modes, customizable colors for colorblind players, text-to-speech support through the studio’s Dislectek plugin, and support for controllers, touch controls, mouse, and keyboard, along with multiple languages.
Originally created during the 2026 Global Game Jam, MASUKU began as a paper card prototype inspired by the event’s “mask” theme before evolving into a digital game in Unity. Its title comes from the Japanese word for “mask,” and the team is planning to release a Nintendo Switch version later this year.
With its clever mechanics and variety of puzzle modes, MASUKU looks set to appeal to players who enjoy thoughtful, replayable brain teasers.
