Welcome to Cat Isle
Cat lovers looking for a relaxing new management game have something to check out. Indie developer Tiny Tail is officially launching Cat Isle on Steam for PC and Mac today after nearly a year of development.
Inspired by Japan’s famous cat islands and the cozy charm often associated with Studio Ghibli-style worlds, Cat Isle combines light management mechanics with a peaceful, laid-back experience. Instead of focusing on complex systems, the game encourages players to slow down, spend time with adorable cats, decorate the island, and enjoy its calming atmosphere.
Players will manage shop supplies while learning the preferences of the island’s feline residents. Beyond running the island, they can fish, interact with cats, and customize buildings using more than 100 hand-drawn pixel art decorations. Players can also unlock new decorative items through an in-game Gashapon machine, allowing them to gradually transform the island into a unique and cozy retreat.
At launch, Cat Isle will include four themed levels, each offering different objectives and environments to explore. The game will also feature 17 unique buildings, a sandbox mode for unrestricted creativity, support for custom decorations, and an estimated playtime of two to four hours.
Tiny Tail has also confirmed that the game will be available with Japanese and Simplified Chinese language support. Korean localization is expected to arrive in the next few days through a post-launch update.
With its charming pixel art, relaxing gameplay, and focus on creativity rather than challenge, Cat Isle looks like a delightful pick for players who want to unwind and spend time building a peaceful island filled with friendly cats.
