Echoes of Mystralia Is Casting Its Magic in Steam Early Access on 11 August

Form the Best Spell in Echoes of Mystralia

Borealys Games has announced that Echoes of Mystralia will launch in Steam Early Access on August 11, 2026. The action-packed roguelite has already attracted plenty of attention, surpassing 175,000 Steam wishlists ahead of release. Set in the same universe as Mages of Mystralia (2017), the game puts players in the role of a Watcher tasked with protecting Mystralia and preserving the Cycle of Memories from a mysterious Rift threatening to consume everything.

Echoes of Mystralia

The biggest highlight of Echoes of Mystralia is its flexible spell-crafting system. Throughout the adventure, players collect “Memories” that they can combine to create powerful spells using elemental forces. The placement of each component directly changes how a spell behaves, opening the door to millions of possible combinations. This encourages players to experiment with unique magical builds.

Between expeditions, players return to the Azimuth Temple, which serves as the game’s central hub. Here, they can unlock new abilities, improve their combat strategies, and seek guidance from an ancient goddess. Beyond the temple, Mystralia is filled with dangerous Guardians, mysterious memories waiting to be discovered, and survivors shaped by the world’s ongoing struggle.

At the start of Early Access, players can explore three regions, battle three powerful Guardians, and craft spells using 110 Memories. They will also get to experiment with 12 different spell forms while taking on fast-paced roguelite combat.

With its creative spell-building system and action-focused gameplay, Echoes of Mystralia promises to offer a fresh take on the roguelite genre. It will be interesting to see how the game evolves throughout its Early Access journey.
