Get a Final Taste of Carnival Hunt
Crytivo has announced the final open playtest for Carnival Hunt, giving horror fans one last chance to experience its tense multiplayer gameplay before the game heads into Early Access later this month. The playtest will run from July 3 to July 6, 2026, and will be available to anyone who requests access through the game’s Steam page before it begins.

Carnival Hunt is a 5v1 first-person asymmetrical horror game set inside a haunting mechanical carnival. One player takes on the role of the terrifying Monster, while five others play as fragile wind-up Rabbits struggling to survive, complete objectives, and escape together. Instead of relying on combat, Rabbit players must work as a team, stay hidden, manage limited resources, and carefully navigate the eerie environment.
One of the game’s standout mechanics is its wind-up system. Rabbits gradually lose power over time and need special keys to keep moving. However, winding yourself or helping teammates creates noise that can easily reveal your location, forcing players to balance survival with risk in every decision they make.
The upcoming playtest will also feature the Magician, an illusion-based monster capable of teleporting, becoming invisible, creating impostors, and using deception to outsmart unsuspecting players. Everyone who joins the playtest will unlock a unique pre-release cosmetic item that will remain permanently tied to their Steam account and will never be available again.
Carnival Hunt officially enters Early Access on July 23, 2026. If you enjoy tense cooperative horror games, this final playtest looks like the perfect opportunity to see what the carnival has in store before launch.
