Life Below Takes a Step Toward Ocean Preservation
Publisher Kasedo Games and Norwegian developer Megapop have announced a new partnership with Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC) for their upcoming underwater reef-building game Life Below. As part of this collaboration, a special supporter pack will launch alongside the game on May 26, bringing both new content and a meaningful cause to players.

The supporter pack introduces three unique marine visitor species to the game. This includes the common bottlenose dolphins, Atlantic spotted dolphins, and harbour porpoises. These animals will naturally visit player-created reefs, swimming through coral structures and interacting with the ecosystem that players carefully build. Each species is also included in the in-game guidebook, offering educational insights inspired by real marine biology.
What makes this initiative stand out is its purpose. All net revenue from the supporter pack will go directly toward WDC’s global conservation efforts. The organization continues to highlight the growing threats faced by whales and dolphins, including pollution, hunting, and entanglement in fishing gear. This partnership aims to raise awareness while encouraging players to connect more deeply with ocean life.
According to the developers, Life Below has always focused on showcasing the beauty and complexity of marine ecosystems. The addition of these intelligent creatures is designed to create a more emotional and immersive experience for players as they nurture their reefs.
Life Below allows players to grow coral habitats, attract wildlife, and restore balance in a changing ocean environment. A playable demo is currently available as part of the Steam Ocean Fest.
In the end, this collaboration blends gameplay with purpose, offering players a chance to enjoy a relaxing, creative experience while contributing to real-world ocean conservation.
