Saint Slayer: Spear of Sacrilege Has Arrived on PC and Consoles

Step Inside the Retro World of Saint Slayer: Spear of Sacrilege

Lillymo Games has officially launched Saint Slayer: Spear of Sacrilege, bringing its retro-inspired action to PC and consoles. Known for titles like Habroxia, Twin Breaker, and Super Perils of Baking, the studio’s latest release leans heavily into classic 8-bit influences, blending fast-paced combat with a dark, gothic horror tone. It is now available on Steam, as well as Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, with cross-buy support, and Xbox platforms.

The game delivers a Castlevania-inspired side-scrolling experience, where players wield a spear against waves of demonic enemies. Its presentation stands out with gritty pixel art, detailed environments, and a chiptune soundtrack that reinforces the eerie atmosphere. The adventure spans 21 handcrafted stages, each packed with hidden paths, traps, and surprises that encourage exploration.

Players can take on the campaign solo or team up in a two-player local co-op mode that includes friendly fire, adding an extra layer of challenge. Along the way, they will encounter seven major boss battles, each designed to test timing, strategy, and skill. Multiple endings, unlockable abilities, and a variety of power-ups further expand replayability.

Alongside the launch, fans can also pre-order a limited-edition vinyl soundtrack featuring 26 tracks composed by Josh Davis. Produced by J-Squared Productions, the release includes a premium 180g splatter disc and is limited to just 300 copies, with shipping planned for July 2026.

Overall, the game arrives as a solid tribute to retro action titles, offering a challenging and atmospheric experience for fans of the genre.
