Prepare for a Cozy Experience in Outbound
Square Glade Games and Silver Lining Interactive have officially moved up the release of their open-world survival crafting adventure, Outbound. The developers are bringing the game to players sooner than expected, with the PC and Xbox Series X/S versions now set to launch on May 11, 2026. Console players on PS5 and Nintendo Switch 1 and 2 will follow shortly after, with a release scheduled for May 14, 2026.

Set in a calm, optimistic near future, Outbound begins with a simple camper van and a wide-open world for players to explore. They can slowly turn this modest vehicle into a fully customized mobile home, shaping both its appearance and functionality. The game supports solo play as well as online co-op for up to four players, allowing friends to share the journey and build together.
The experience focuses on freedom and creativity. Players can gather resources, craft useful tools, and grow their own food while living off the grid. Energy plays a key role, with options to harness power from solar panels, wind turbines, and flowing water. The world itself is filled with varied biomes and hidden details, encouraging exploration at a relaxed pace.
With its modular building system, flexible crafting loop, and emphasis on sustainable living, Outbound offers a refreshing take on the survival genre. And now that the confirmation of the earlier release date, players will not have to wait long to begin their journey and build a life on the road.
