Wishlist Morels: Out of This World Now
Abrams Studios has released a brand-new gameplay trailer for Morels: Out of This World, offering a closer look at its calm, exploration-driven experience ahead of its planned 2026 launch on Steam for Windows PC.
The game takes players far beyond Earth, dropping them into colorful alien planets filled with unusual mushrooms, strange wildlife, and ever-changing environments. Each world is carefully handcrafted to feel unfamiliar, ranging from glowing jungles and harsh deserts to dense forests and even a prehistoric landscape where dinosaurs still exist. Every location introduces its own atmosphere, creatures, and surprises, encouraging players to slow down and take everything in.
Morels: Out of This World focuses on peaceful exploration rather than combat. Players spend their time searching for rare alien mushrooms, photographing unique creatures, and documenting discoveries across different planets. Progression goes hand-in-hand with curiosity and collection, creating a laid-back experience built around observation and discovery.
The game also includes seasonal changes that affect mushroom spawns, animal behavior, and weather, ensuring each session feels fresh. Weekly challenges offer additional goals, such as capturing specific photos or collecting certain items, while an in-game shop provides useful tools to assist in exploration.
Players can track their journey through a detailed photo book and unlock helpful insights via the Hunter’s Manual. There is also an Exploration Mode that allows players to experience the world as alien creatures themselves.
