Gravelord Is Launching Its Full Version on Steam This Month

Join the Retro Shooting Action in Gravelord

Indie studio Fatbot Games has confirmed that its retro-inspired shooter Gravelord will officially leave early access and launch in version 1.0 on May 21, 2026. The full release brings a complete and refined experience to PC players, combining classic first-person shooter energy with modern design elements and a dark, humorous twist.

Inspired by genre-defining titles like Doom and Quake, Gravelord places players in the role of Queedo. He is a gravedigger with a sharp tongue and an even sharper arsenal. Armed with powerful guns, mystical Tarot cards, and a versatile spectral shovel, players must send supernatural threats back where they belong. The game leans into fast movement, aggressive combat, and cleverly designed levels that reward exploration and skill.

The 1.0 release expands the game significantly, adding two new episodes, twelve new levels, eleven new enemy types, and three additional weapons. In total, players can experience three full episodes along with bonus content and community-created maps. Each level is handcrafted with a focus on fun and flow rather than realism. This encourages players to uncover secrets and experiment with different playstyles.

One of the standout features is the Tarot card system. It allows players to build unique combat strategies through powerful synergies. Weapon upgrades further deepen gameplay, while collectible comic pages gradually reveal the game’s story. The inclusion of a full level editor also opens the door for players to create and share their own content.

With its full release, Gravelord is shaping up as a solid entry for fans of fast-paced shooters, offering both nostalgia and fresh ideas in a single package.
