International publisher 101XP has released Truck Mechanic: Dangerous Paths – First Mile, a free trial of the upcoming simulation title developed by Atomic Jelly. Now available on Steam, the demo introduces players to a rugged off-road experience where mechanical skill is just as important as driving ability.
Blending off-road simulation with detailed truck repair mechanics, Truck Mechanic: Dangerous Paths challenges players to do more than deliver cargo. Treacherous terrain, unexpected obstacles, and risky maneuvers can damage vital components mid-journey. When that happens, players must diagnose problems and repair their vehicle on the spot using a wide range of tools, often in unforgiving conditions.
Players can take on cargo contracts to earn money and build their reputation with local communities. Earnings must be managed carefully, covering fuel costs, emergency assistance, skill development, and truck customization. Smart financial decisions are key to staying on the road.
The game features four progression paths: Driver, Mechanic, Explorer, and Trader. Upgrading these skills improves efficiency, reduces damage and repair costs, increases spare part discovery, and boosts profits.
Set across expansive open environments inspired by South America, the game encourages exploration through jungles, plantations, mines, and deserts. Dynamic weather and day–night cycles affect both the atmosphere and vehicle handling.
