Find Out More About Planet of Lana II

With its March 5 release fast approaching, Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf is offering a deeper look at the heart of its gameplay. Developer Wishfully Studios and publisher Thunderful have released a new behind-the-scenes video exploring the sequel’s expanded companion-based puzzle design. The game will be coming out on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass, PS5, PS4, Switch 2, and Switch.

In the video, Lead Game Designer Dan Faxe and Senior Game Designer Christian Enfors break down how the team has evolved the original game’s puzzle mechanics. The sequel builds on the close bond between Lana and her loyal companion Mui. It introduces new abilities that strengthen their cooperation. Players will rely on timing, coordination, and observation as the duo works together to navigate environmental hazards and various obstacles.

Additional videos offer further insight into the game’s creation. Adam and Klas discussed the world and narrative themes in an extended gameplay video. The BAFTA-nominated composer, Takeshi Furukawa, also shared a behind-the-scenes look at recording the orchestral score in Budapest, Hungary.

Players eager to try the adventure can download a demo now on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. The Nintendo Switch versions will receive the demo on release day.

Planet of Lana II promises a cinematic, story-driven puzzle-platformer experience. Set in a hand-painted sci-fi world where nature and technology collide, the six-to-eight-hour journey unfolds without dialogue, using visuals and music to tell an emotional tale of connection, discovery, and growth.
