Many New Features Await in Moonlighter 2
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault has received its first major update during its Early Access phase, introducing new combat options, dungeon content, and progression improvements as developer Digital Sun and publisher 11 bit studios continue preparing the game for its full release later this year.
The biggest addition in the update is HEX, a new combat path that allows players to curse enemies. The curse deals delayed damage and can spread to nearby foes, creating chain reactions during fights. Players can also combine HEX with existing combat paths, such as Thunder, giving players new ways to approach dungeon runs.
The update also introduces new equipment, including the Blo-Blitz dual guns, a fast-paced weapon designed for players who prefer a mobile combat style. Players can unlock the crafting recipe for the weapon by completing a special quest.
Several content additions further expand the experience. The update brings around twenty new combat rooms, expanded perk sets from characters such as Nou, Anacard, and Sliver, and new build synergies at Andrei’s. Players can also unlock about ten new shop cosmetics.
Character progression has also been expanded. The Witch now has a new skill tree focused on survivability during dungeon runs, while K33P3R gains additional abilities that improve shop management. The 5th Key Narrative also continues the Endless Vault challenge for players who have already completed the fourth key.
Another major addition is the Greed Colosseum, a new wave-based challenge mode featuring escalating rounds of enemies and mini-bosses across different biomes.
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is currently available on PC through Early Access, with a full 1.0 release planned for later in 2026 on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
