Take Down Massive Hordes in A Long Survive
A Long Survive is gearing up for a major leap forward, with its revamped version officially launching on April 30 for both PSVR2 and SteamVR. The announcement comes alongside its appearance at the VR Games Showcase, where a brand-new launch trailer highlights what players can expect from this upgraded survival shooter.
After its earlier debut on Meta platforms, the developers rebuilt the experience from the ground up to fully utilize more powerful VR hardware. This upgrade delivers a significantly enhanced version that introduces what the team describes as the largest enemy hordes ever seen in virtual reality, pushing the scale and intensity of combat to new heights. The game also supports crossplay across all platforms, allowing players to team up regardless of where they play.
This overhaul introduces a wide range of improvements. It upgrades visuals with enhanced character models, advanced lighting, and richer effects, while new soundscapes add more depth to the atmosphere. It also refines combat for better responsiveness and lets players explore newly designed maps alongside a fresh arsenal of weapons.
On PSVR2, the game makes full use of the hardware’s capabilities. Players can expect smooth performance at 120Hz, immersive head haptics, and adaptive trigger support that adds tactile feedback to every encounter. PlayStation Trophies are also included, offering additional goals to chase.
With these upgrades, A Long Survive looks set to deliver a more intense and polished VR survival experience when it arrives at the end of April.
