Show No Mercy in Yankee Rabbits
Indie developer Yajueko, alongside publisher indie.io, will release Yankee Rabbits on PC via Steam on March 4, 2026. The game will be priced at $3.99 USD and will feature a 14-day launch discount for early buyers.
Set in a world long past saving, Yankee Rabbits drops players into a city overrun by pink, humanoid rabbits armed with baseball bats. Humanity has vanished, leaving a mysterious anime girl, armed to the teeth, as the last line of resistance. Players take control of this unlikely heroine and battle through 10 stages, each divided into 10 escalating combat rounds. Every round intensifies the chaos, flooding the screen with more enemies and tightening the space to survive. Each stage culminates in an over-the-top boss fight that pushes the game’s deceptively cute art style into outrageous extremes.
The rabbits aren’t the only threat. Satsuko, a corrupt police officer who struck a deal with the invaders to maintain her place in the ruined city, actively hunts the protagonist. She holds the anime girl responsible for the city’s downfall and interferes relentlessly, making every encounter even more punishing.
Completing Classic Mode unlocks additional challenges. Survival Mode pits players against endless waves of rabbits, while Free Run Mode introduces double jumps and platforming-focused stages. Developers plan to expand Free Run with post-launch courses, delivered through both free updates and optional paid content.
Fast, chaotic, and gleefully absurd, Yankee Rabbits embraces its cute-yet-brutal identity when it launches on Steam this March.
