Spring has arrived, and so has a brand-new mystery for fans of Paper Perjury. The critically acclaimed point-and-click adventure just received a free update, introducing the first half of Case 6: Regrets & Perjury. Originally planned as a single release, Case 6 will now unfold in two parts. The first installment launches on February 22, with the second half arriving later this year.
In Regrets & Perjury, amateur detective Justina Smith investigates a devastating house fire involving Joules Wattson, heiress to the Wattson Gas & Electric Company. What first appears to be arson soon escalates into something far more sinister. As Justina combs through the ashes, she uncovers evidence suggesting a calculated homicide and a shadowy figure orchestrating events behind the scenes.
Players will work alongside newly hired Detective Fineman to uncover the motive behind Mrs. Wattson’s death. The case challenges players to interrogate three vastly different siblings, each with their own secrets and possible motives. Adding to the tension is “The Bloodhound,” a relentless defense attorney ready to exploit even the smallest inconsistency.
Throughout the game, Justina continues her work as a clerk at the Azure City Police Department, teaming up with eccentric detectives Ernest Hunt and Sophie Swift to untangle a web of suspicious crimes haunting the city.
