Let’s Freeze Some Penguins Will Be Coming to Switch On 18th March

Defeat the Emperor Penguin in Let’s Freeze Some Penguins

The creator of Yono and the Celestial Elephants (2017), Neckbolt and Burning Planet, partners up to bring a brand-new cozy adventure to Nintendo Switch, called Let’s Freeze Some Penguins. This charming block-pushing puzzle game takes players north of the Arctic Circle to the snowy paradise of Northern Bear. The game will be coming out on 18th March on eShop, so make sure to keep an eye out.

Players step into the flippers of Walnut the Walrus, who wields a touch of magic in his mittens. With his frosty powers, Walnut can freeze unsuspecting penguins into slick ice blocks and slide them across the terrain. By carefully positioning these icy blocks, players create bridges, stairways, and clever pathways to explore new areas and overcome obstacles. The ultimate goal? Save Northern Bear from the looming threat of the dreaded Emperor Penguin.

Developer Niklas Hallin describes the game as a puzzle experience where players never feel stuck. Even when the solution isn’t obvious, there’s always something productive to do, more penguins to freeze, and more possibilities to explore. He designed the game with families in mind, making it an inviting experience for parents and children to enjoy together.

Let’s Freeze Some Penguins launches on Nintendo Switch on March 18. The game offers wholesome humor, accessible puzzle design, and localization in multiple languages to reach players worldwide. The developer also confirms that no generative AI tools were used during production.

The game is currently available to wishlist on the eShop and Steam as well. Players can also try a free playable demo on Steam.
