A Bunch of New Content Awaits in Earth Analog
Funcraft Games is celebrating five years of its space exploration title Earth Analog, with the launch of Major Update 2.3. The anniversary update introduces major new features, visual upgrades, and quality-of-life improvements designed to expand the game’s sense of scale and discovery.
One of the standout additions is a new world type: Nebula Worlds. These vast regions of glowing gas and dust create breathtaking cosmic vistas filled with shifting light and charged particles. However, they also present serious dangers, including radiation storms and powerful lightning discharges. Players can now undertake a dedicated scientific study to collect nebular plasma, introducing new risk-reward dynamics to deep-space exploration.
Update 2.3 also debuts the Codex system, which rewards curiosity. By gathering stones and ancient artifacts, players unlock detailed entries on celestial phenomena such as ocean worlds and asteroids. Each discovery earns collectible badges, transforming exploration into a record of lasting achievements.
Competitive explorers can now claim the highest elevation within a star system. Record-breaking peaks are stored globally and permanently tied to the discoverer’s name. Meanwhile, physically accurate cockpit lighting with dynamic shadows enhances immersion, and the new Auto-Build feature simplifies construction by automatically placing required blueprint blocks.
The update also refreshes Proxima Centauri b with improved terrain, richer vegetation, and a revamped tutorial. Alongside numerous smaller enhancements and bug fixes, Update 2.3 marks both a celebration of five years and a significant step forward for the game.
