A Big Win for ARC Raiders
Nexon has announced that ARC Raiders, developed by Embark Studios, has won Online Game of the Year at the 29th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards. The ceremony took place in Las Vegas on February 12, where the game earned one of the industry’s most respected honors.
Junghun Lee, President and CEO of Nexon, said the company is proud to see ARC Raiders recognized by the D.I.C.E. Awards panel. He called the achievement a meaningful milestone for both Nexon and Embark Studios, highlighting the significance of receiving global recognition for their work.
Patrick Söderlund, Founder and CEO of Embark Studios, thanked both the development team and the game’s community. He said the studio feels honored to be recognized by industry peers during a year of strong competition. Söderlund also credited the team’s dedication to craftsmanship and the support of players worldwide, adding that the award marks just the beginning of the game’s journey.
Organized annually by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, the D.I.C.E. Awards celebrate outstanding achievements across the video game industry.
Since launching in October last year, ARC Raiders has performed strongly in the market. The game topped Steam’s Top Sellers chart for much of its first three months and ranked highly on both PlayStation and Xbox platforms. To date, it has sold 14 million copies. Embark Studios continues to expand the experience with regular updates, including the recently released “Shared Watch” update on February 10.
