Hypnos Will Explore Onto PC and Consoles Later This Year

Step Into the Nameless City in Hypnos

Redlock Studio has unveiled Hypnos, a first-person adventure and exploration game set within a haunting, Lovecraftian megastructure that feels like a waking fever dream. The game is set to launch later this year on PC and consoles, although details regarding the specific consoles are not yet available. Players interested in exploring the Nameless City can already wishlist the game on Steam.

Hypnos

Hypnos delivers an atmospheric, exploration-driven experience set in the Nameless City, a surreal location that exists at the edge of dreams. Players traverse a semi-open world filled with mystery and unease, encountering enigmatic monarchs and strange inhabitants who populate its shifting streets and corridors. At the core of the experience, players search for a mysterious boy who repeatedly haunts their dreams.

The game takes place in Redlock Studio’s Maze Chronicles universe and continues the narrative themes introduced in Blackshard. Redlock Studio maintains the series’s strong focus on mood and environmental storytelling. All while expanding the formula with branching narratives, meaningful choices, and multiple endings shaped by player decisions and dialogue paths.

Exploration sits at the heart of the experience, encouraging players to carve their own routes through the Nameless City. The world responds to player interaction, allowing them to manipulate the substance of dreams. They can even reshape parts of the city, and gradually lift the veils that hide deeper truths. ALT236, a French multimedia artist and composer, created the original soundtrack. It perfectly blends ambient, retro, and dreamlike electronic music to enhance the game’s eerie atmosphere. You can check out the new teaser trailer below for an early glimpse into the game’s unsettling world and tone.
