Try Goblin’s Die on Steam Right Now
Finnish indie studio Potion8 has officially revealed its debut title, Goblin’s Die, a 1 to 5 player cooperative action-adventure RPG coming to Steam. The project is supported through investment and advisory backing from Supercell co-founder Mikko Kodisoja, giving the small studio a strong foundation as it prepares for its first major release.
Goblin’s Die places players in the role of ordinary goblin workers tasked with recovering the broken fragments of a mysterious magical artefact. Rather than following traditional hero classes, players scavenge materials, improvise equipment, and haul their findings back to an ever-growing Hive that acts as the group’s shared base. The gear a goblin carries fully defines its role, allowing players to shift playstyles on the fly. This eventually leads to unpredictable cooperative combinations.
The game leans heavily into chaotic teamwork, where success depends on adapting to changing situations and supporting one another during increasingly dangerous runs. Each expedition offers new opportunities to experiment, encouraging replayability through evolving builds and shared progression.
“Goblin’s Die flips the traditional RPG power fantasy on its head,” said Creative Director Janne Kodisoja. “Instead of legendary heroes, you’re a bunch of goblins trying to survive – and somehow pull it off together.”
Goblin’s Die will also make an appearance during Steam Next Fest in February 2026. A free demo is already available on Steam, ahead of the game’s planned Early Access launch. You can also check out the official trailer below to get a glimpse of the adventure ahead.
