Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero Is Getting a DLC Later This Year

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero Is Expanding

Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. announced new downloadable content for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero during this weekend’s Genkidamatsuri event, confirming that a major DLC release will arrive later this year. The upcoming expansion will introduce new playable characters, with additional reveals planned in the future, alongside fresh costumes, new stages, and entirely new gameplay modes. Among the characters already confirmed are Super 17, Bardock (Super Saiyan), and King Piccolo, giving fans a taste of what’s to come.

Alongside the paid DLC, Bandai Namco also revealed two substantial free updates for all players. The first update will introduce Mission 100, a single-player mode featuring 100 unique battles with special conditions applied to both the player’s team and their opponents. This mode draws inspiration from a fan-favorite feature previously seen in DRAGON BALL Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3. A second free update, scheduled to launch this spring, will add Survival Mode, offering another intense way to test players’ skills.

The new DLC will launch this summer on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 players will begin receiving DLC content through the Season Pass starting this winter, with additional content planned for a later release.

The event also confirmed that legendary artist Hironobu Kageyama will perform the theme song for the new DLC. This marks his first contribution to Dragon Ball Z: Sparking! series in 18 years, with Kageyama handling both lyrics and composition. The song promises to amplify the game’s high-energy battles.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
