Become a Barista in Coffee Talk Tokyo
Fans of the cozy narrative series won’t have to wait much longer to return to the counter, as the developers behind Coffee Talk Tokyo have officially locked in a global release date. Following its appearance during the Toge Productions anniversary online showcase, the game is now arriving on Thursday, May 21, 2026, launching simultaneously on Steam (PC), PlayStation 5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
While the core experience is complete, the team chose to spend extra time on final polish and refinement. This additional development period focuses on improving comfort, smoothness, and small details that help the story and characters shine from the very first visit to the café. The developers acknowledged that delays can be disappointing but emphasized that their priority is delivering the best possible experience. They also confirmed this is the final release date.
Coffee Talk Tokyo expands the beloved Coffee Talk universe with a new city, a fresh cast of characters, and new stories. All while preserving the series’ signature warmth and cozy atmosphere. Longtime fans can expect the same intimate, conversation-driven storytelling, now shaped by Tokyo’s late-night café culture.
Set in a quiet café after dark, players step into the role of a barista serving drinks to humans and fantastical beings alike. Each beverage subtly influences conversations, revealing personal dreams and struggles. Players can craft hot and cold drinks, create latte art using sprinkle stencils, and browse Tomodachill, an in-game social feed that offers deeper insight into customers’ lives. The experience is complemented by a chill lo-fi soundtrack from returning composer Andrew “AJ” Jeremy, inspired by Tokyo’s summer nights.
