So Many New Features Await in BALL x PIT
BALL x PIT, the breakout hit among ball-fusion roguelites, expands its chaotic charm with a major free content drop. The Regal Update marks the first substantial update for the million-selling title from Kenny Sun and Friends, delivering long-awaited additions that significantly broaden the game’s scope. With new characters, inventive ball types, and a highly requested new mode, the update gives both new and returning players plenty of reasons to dive back into the pit.
Two new playable characters headline the update. The Falconer introduces a fresh combat style by launching paired balls from birds stationed at the sides of the screen, creating wide, arcing attack patterns that reward positioning and timing. The Drunkard, a rowdy medieval royal, bends the rules of physics entirely, generating a personal gravitational field that warps ball trajectories and pulls shots into unexpected paths.
The Regal Update also adds eight powerful new balls to experiment with. Highlights include Fireworks, which burst into dazzling, unpredictable explosions that damage enemies in all directions; the Stone Ball, which delivers massive impact damage before gradually crumbling with each ricochet; and Landslide, a destructive force that unleashes a growing wave of debris ahead of the impact point, dealing sustained area damage over time.
Perhaps the biggest addition is Endless Mode. After completing the game, players can now continue each area indefinitely. Defeat the boss, push deeper into the pit, and see how long you can survive as the challenge escalates without limit.
The Regal Update is available now at no extra cost on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2.
