A Huge Milestone for Ball X Pit
Devolver Digital is rolling into the spotlight once again, announcing a fresh streak of momentum for Ball X Pit. The energetic action-roguelite has now soared past one million copies sold, a leap that arrived only weeks after it crossed the 400,000 mark in late October. The tally includes Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, though its presence on Xbox Game Pass sits outside the traditional count.
This surge arrives just as developer Kenny Sun prepares to expand the game’s lively arsenal. Three free updates are scheduled across next year, each dropping a small constellation of new balls, evolutions, and characters. The Regal Update leads the parade in January, followed by the moodier Shadow Update in April. Summer brings the Naturalist Update in July, drifting in with verdant energy. A newly released trailer offers a fragmented glimpse of what’s rolling toward players.
Ball X Pit invites players to command and combine more than sixty distinct balls as they push through autoscrolling battlegrounds. The experience carries the rhythm of old-school block-breakers, braided with the ever-shifting intensity of modern roguelites. Beyond the skirmishes, players shape and rebuild the town of New Ballbylon. This adds a quiet layer of world-building between bouts of controlled chaos.
The result is a game that keeps gathering momentum like a runaway sphere on polished marble. With its community growing and a trio of updates on the horizon, Ball X Pit seems poised to continue its lively roll well into the coming year.
