Sunyata CCG is opening its doors to players, as the indie team at Nagarjuna Games launches a public playtest on Steam. Alongside it arrives a fresh gameplay trailer that walks through the game’s evolving abilities, interactive card effects, and the unique rhythm of its starter decks. The game mixes flexible deck-building with brisk, theme-rich battles that encourage experimentation. When the full version arrives, it will include both competitive matches and single-player options. Everything in the card pool will be earnable through regular play, keeping the focus on strategy and discovery.
The current playtest offers four starter decks, each carrying its own personality. The Ice Mage deck centers on conjuring icy spirits that lock down threats and slowly freeze control of the battlefield. The Tree Evolution deck revolves around nurturing living structures, strengthening them over time, or transforming them into more imposing forms. Dragon Riders push players toward aggressive momentum by pairing riders with dragons to unleash concentrated bursts of pressure. The Zombies deck shuffles in a different flavor of chaos. It can raise units without mana costs and push directly toward the opponent’s castle with relentless energy.
The developers are using this round of testing to understand what resonates most during play. They’re interested in memorable turns, abilities that feel especially satisfying, and any interactions that appear confusing or unfinished, whether in the interface or in the flow of abilities.
