Dangerous Dungeons Awaits in Lootbane
Lootbane, a minimalistic action RPG focused on loot and calculated risk, has launched a playable demo on Steam. Developed by solo creator Milo Panta, the demo offers players an early look at a game built around pushing their luck, managing resources, and deciding how far they are willing to go before everything is lost.
In Lootbane, players explore shifting regions, assemble synergistic warbands, and descend deeper into dangerous dungeons in search of powerful treasure. Every run presents a balance between ambition and restraint, where greater rewards always come with greater consequences.
The demo includes the Warrior, one of four planned playable classes, alongside the first two regions, the Forest Lands and the Desert Lands. Players can collect a wide range of equipment, discover unique followers, unlock stat-enhancing powers, and face region-specific enemies and demanding bosses. Between runs, a city hub allows players to sell loot, manage their stash, and store gold safely in the bank.
A clear risk and reward structure drives dungeon progression. Each level descended increases gold income and the chance of finding legendary items, while enemy difficulty rises sharply. Defeat results in the complete loss of all unbanked progress, reinforcing the importance of careful decision-making.
The demo reflects extensive feedback from the game’s first public Steam playtest. Improvements include better pacing, refined balance, and additional content. As well as a clearer interface that makes core systems easier to understand without reducing their impact.
Players interested in shaping the future of Lootbane can join the official Discord community to share feedback, track development updates, and connect with other players.
