Titan Quest II Expands Customization With Socketable Items in Upcoming Update

Relics and Charms Are Coming to Titan Quest II

Titan Quest II is about to make your heroes even more powerful. The next Early Access update, arriving soon, will introduce Relics and Charms, two new types of socketable items that can enhance weapons, armor, rings, and amulets.

Titan Quest 2 Review

Every adventurer has experienced the thrill of finding the perfect weapon: the design, the stats, the attack speed all line up perfectly. Yet there is always that thought, what if it could be even stronger? The upcoming update answers that question with a new layer of customization.

Charms are the more common of the two, obtained from enemies in ways that make sense, such as bones from skeletons or hides from boars. Each fragment you collect offers a bonus, and combining three fragments of the same type grants an additional effect. For instance, a single Ichthian Fin boosts Cold Damage, but three combined also increase Ailment Duration, giving players more control over their combat style.

Relics operate on a similar principle but are much rarer and more potent. Gathering three fragments of the Essence of Zeus’ Thunderbolt not only enhances attack and cast speed and boosts lightning damage but also grants a chance to instantly kill non-boss enemies.

The update will initially add around 40 different Charms and Relics, laying the groundwork for future expansions. Over time, the developers plan to introduce even more items, offering players endless ways to fine-tune their heroes’ gear and abilities.

For those eager to explore this new system, a detailed developer diary provides a closer look at how Charms and Relics will transform Titan Quest II’s gameplay. This update promises to deepen strategy, expand options, and make every find feel even more rewarding. If you want to find out more about the game, check out our official review right here!
