Resident Evil Pro Controller Opens Pre-Order With a Scary Price

Check Out the New Resident Evil Pro Controller

Following its official reveal, the Resident Evil Pro Controller for the upcoming Switch 2 is now available for pre-order, drawing both excitement and raised eyebrows from fans. The collaboration promises a stylish collectible tied to Resident Evil Requiem, yet its steep price has quickly become the main topic of conversation.

Resident Evil Pro Controller

The My Nintendo Store lists UK pre-orders at £83.99, making it pricier than the standard Pro Controller, which sells for £74.99. Across the Atlantic, Best Buy has opened US pre-orders at $99.99, compared to the regular version’s $89.99. With figures like these, it’s hard to call this anything but a luxury collector’s item rather than a must-have accessory.

Design-wise, it’s a mixed bag. The controller features detailed artwork and thematic touches inspired by Resident Evil, but the large Switch 2 logo placed in the center has become a point of criticism. It covers part of the Resident Evil branding and some of the more intricate symbols on the faceplate. While the overall design has its appeal, it lacks the iconic flair of the memorable Chainsaw Controller from the GameCube era.

Even so, it’s impressive that Nintendo is allowing a themed third-party Pro Controller for such a major release. Pairing it with the highly anticipated Resident Evil Requiem gives it extra significance for fans of the series.

Both the game and the Resident Evil Pro Controller are scheduled for release on February 27, 2026. A Grace Ashcroft amiibo will join the lineup later in Summer 2026, rounding out what’s shaping up to be a big year for Resident Evil fans on Nintendo’s next console.
