Flipping Is Hard Dropped a New Trailer at OTK Winter Showcase

Join the Playtest of Flipping Is Hard

Flipping is Hard, the upcoming precision platformer from Elegant Horse Studios, made a notable appearance during the OTK Winter Showcase pre-show. The latest trailer offers a closer look at Flippy, a durable ‘90s flip phone who becomes separated from his owner and begins a determined journey to reunite with him. Alongside the trailer reveal, the studio confirmed a limited playtest running on Steam through November 24, ahead of the public demo planned for December 12.

Flipping is Hard presents a demanding experience built around rotate-only movement, challenging players to stay calm as they guide Flippy through the strange and often chaotic land of lost things. The story begins with a simple mishap. Flippy enjoys an easy life as young Jeff’s trusted phone until Jeff slips on a banana and sends Flippy tumbling into a storm drain. From that moment, the quiet comfort of everyday life is replaced with a sprawling journey filled with obstacles, oddities, and forgotten belongings.

Players help Flippy push forward by rotating, climbing, and navigating across a variety of settings that blend nostalgia with environmental puzzles. The adventure spans toppled dollhouses, cluttered toy chests, muddy playgrounds, and other whimsical spaces that twist childhood memories into platforming challenges. The game supports both solo play and cooperative sessions, allowing friends to tackle the climb together while maintaining steady nerves in the face of its demanding level design.

Those interested in experiencing Flipping is Hard ahead of its wider debut can request access to the Steam playtest taking place this weekend. It offers an early chance to understand the game’s precise movement style before the public demo arrives on December 12. Players can also add the title to their Steam wishlist to stay updated as development continues.
