Face the Puzzles in The Visitor Effect: Not an Experiment
Spanish independent studio Mystic Morgue has announced the release date for its debut title, The Visitor Effect: Not an Experiment. The game will launch on November 7 for Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, with the support of publisher Dojo System. It will also be featured during Steam Next Fest from October 13 to 20, where players and press can explore its demo and request review access.
In The Visitor Effect: Not an Experiment, players awaken as R3D, an alien robot trapped inside a strange simulation. With no memory of who controls them or why they exist, R3D must navigate a reality where every choice brings them closer to either uncovering the truth or sinking deeper into deception. The story unfolds through dialogue, hidden notes, and moral choices. It challenges players to think critically about what is real and what is an illusion.
Those who manage to break free from the simulation face a new trial against the General, the last barrier between R3D and freedom. To survive, players must solve intricate puzzles and adapt to evolving mechanics. All while avoiding relentless turrets and enemies.
During Steam Next Fest, players can experience the game’s colorful yet corrupted world firsthand. Mystic Morgue will host live developer streams, behind-the-scenes sessions, and interactive community events throughout the week. Fans will be able to share feedback, join challenges, and win special rewards for their participation.
With its blend of mystery, strategy, and emotional storytelling, The Visitor Effect: Not an Experiment invites players to question perception, choice, and truth itself. The game is now available to wishlist on Steam ahead of its November release.
